Commodities Inspections

NMCI is qualified to execute inspections on a wide range of commodities. Our services are aimed at the protection of our clients, who include importers, exporters, insurers and carriers.


Our commodities inspection services include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Agricultural products: rice, grains, beans, soybeans, lentils, coffee, tea, etc.
  • Perishable products: fruits, vegetables and spices
  • Processed foods: sugar, milk powder, flour and molasses

A) Valuation

Our pre-shipment inspection services are utilized to ensure the following:

  • Proper execution of government regulations on imports,
  • Aid to customs departments to collect correct revenue and protect foreign currency reserves
  • Assistance to governments and corporate clients to prevent fraud, smuggling, and importation of substandard goods.

NMCI offers pre-shipment inspection services that include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Trade facilitation to enable rapid clearance at customs
  • Control quality and quantity of imported goods
  • Ensure accuracy of the H.S. Code classification
  • Verification of valuation of imported goods for customs clearance
  • Confirm that packaging and marking of the goods are in accordance with contractual conditions and legal requirements
  • Supervision of loading and container control sealing
  • Help controlling over and under invoices
  • Help improve trade balance
  • Provide training programs for technology transfer and verification methods
  • Abide by WTO agreements on “Pre-Shipment Inspections” and “Customs Valuation,” along with other subsequent recommendations

B) Quality and Quantity Inspections

NMCI performs quality and quantity pre-shipment inspections to ensure that the proper goods are being imported in the manner set forth in the contractual agreement between buyer and seller.

Automobile Inspections

  • NMCI can fulfill the need to inspect automobiles for import, export, or in transit via railroads and trucks, and document any damages caused to them during transport.
  • With state-of-the-art equipment and a highly efficient computerized system, our automobile surveyors can generate a report immediately upon completion of the inspection, which can then be instantly viewed by the client.

Petroleum

  • Our quality inspection services for the petroleum and oil industry are conducted in a professional and cost competitive manner to fully suit the needs of our diversified client base.

Our petroleum and oil quality and quantity inspection services include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Drilling, logging, testing, cementing and production equipment

Recycled Products

  • At NMCI, we conduct inspections of recycled products such, as scrap metals (ferrous and nonferrous), waste paper, plastic scraps and other products, to ensure quality and quantity conformity during import or export, and to oversee compliance with various government regulations.
  • We are a member of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI) and abide by the guidelines set forth by the organization.

Consumer Products

Textiles

  • NMCI conducts inspection of fabrics on behalf of buyers in order to assure product conformity as per the purchase order. We also have laboratory facilities available worldwide.

Ready-Made Garments (Apparels) and Finished Goods

  • At NMCI, we conduct quality control inspections in order to determine the acceptability of ready-made garments and finished goods. Our quality control systems are in place to assure that the products are in conformance with manufacturers specifications.

Toys and Juvenile Products

  • We perform inspection services for a variety of toys and juvenile products in ensure quality assurance based on manufacturers specifications.
